Restore damaged glass before it delays project handover
Correct damaged glass on construction sites, façades, glazing systems, final handover, and after-sales service before replacement. Nationwide coverage.
On a construction site, glass scratched, burned by welding, affected by grinding, cement or iridescence can become a critical punch-list item. Specialized restoration helps close pending items, protect the budget and avoid replacement operations.
What we protect in your operation
- Closure of punch-list items and supervision observations
- Coordination with developer, general contractor, and glazing contractor
- Intervention by work area, level, or released area
- Evaluation at floor level, on scaffolding, or using access systems
- Scope documentation and progress control

Construction-site quotation criteria
Quotations are calculated per square meter, with a minimum of 1 m² for each pane treated. Areas from different damage zones or different panes are not combined to meet the minimum.
Estimated time: scratches, approximately 3 hours per m²; welding or grinding damage, approximately 5 hours per m², depending on depth and access conditions.

How we work
We convert punch-list observations into panes, square meters, work areas, and access requirements. The sequence is coordinated with supervision, glazing contractors, and safety teams to release areas without disrupting the project schedule.
Glass configurations and restoration at height
Grupo GNOVIA has documented experience restoring tempered, laminated, annealed and insulated glass in different thicknesses and access conditions. Each pane is evaluated according to its configuration, location, damage depth and proximity to the edges.
Work-at-height restoration
We work on façades and hard-to-reach glass using work-at-height systems, suspended platforms, scaffolding or other means supplied or coordinated according to project conditions.
Feasibility depends on safe access, permits, and appropriate construction-site conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Is the work performed with the glass installed?
Yes. We work with the glass installed as long as it remains intact and safe access is available, avoiding removal and reducing disruption to your space.
Can tempered glass be restored?
We restore tempered glass with superficial or deep damage as long as the glass is not broken, cracked, fractured or structurally compromised.
Does the glass become distorted or weakened?
The specialized process recovers the surface in a controlled manner without distorting the glass or altering its function. Before starting, we confirm the scope using the case’s technical information.
Can deep damage be restored?
Yes. We restore deep damage when the glass remains intact; depth determines the work sequence and time, but by itself does not require replacement.
How is the price determined?
It depends on the type and depth damage, area, number of panes, access, height, location, sector and volume.
When is restoration not possible?
We do not work on broken, cracked, fractured glass or damage that structurally compromises the glass.
What information is needed for an evaluation?
Type of damage, quantity or surface area, location, access conditions, and sector-specific information. We do not request photographs during the initial contact.
Do you provide service outside Mexico City?
Yes. Grupo GNOVIA provides nationwide coverage; logistics and travel expenses are determined according to location and project volume.
What happens if a pane cannot withstand the process?
This is very uncommon because Grupo GNOVIA personnel are trained to restore glass using a controlled sequence. In exceptional cases, previously damaged glass may not withstand the intervention. If that occurs, we do not charge for the service performed on that pane; however, we do not assume the replacement cost glass that was already damaged before work began. This condition is explained clearly before the work starts.
Do you need an on-site visit to confirm the service?
Not in most cases. We can confirm service remotely using the damage description, dimensions, glass type, location, and access conditions. On-site visits are primarily reserved for construction projects or projects involving a large volume glass.
